OCTOBER READS

This fall, we’re focusing on simple luxury—highlighting intentional home upgrades, prioritizing quality, and leaning into the beauty of everyday rituals. Think: fresh florals, timeless home staples, cozy home-cooked meals, and spaces filled with personality that engage all the senses.

Over the past few years, consumerism has been at an all-time high, with an overwhelming number of products and trends competing for our attention. Like many, I’ve felt the burnout that comes from the constant hustle to keep up—to have it all, and to have it now.

This season, I’m choosing a different path. Rather than chasing the latest fads, I want to celebrate the idea of living with less, but better. It’s about intentionality—carefully curating our homes and surrounding ourselves with things that bring comfort, meaning, and joy.

Because true luxury isn’t found in excess—it’s found in the thoughtful details that make a house feel like home.

LET’S TALK INTENTIONAL HOME UPGRADES

Whether you’re tackling DIY projects or hiring a contractor, one thing remains essential: upgrades should be done with quality in mind.

A common mistake I often see is the impulse to quickly replace anything that feels outdated or unattractive. Trust me—I understand the temptation. But here’s the truth: if you swap it out for a lower-quality solution, you’re not really solving the problem. You’re just putting a band-aid on it.

In this season of life, I’d encourage prioritizing better products over quick fixes. Think about materials and finishes that will stand the test of time—not just what looks good in the moment. Because when it comes to creating a home you truly love, longevity and craftsmanship will always outshine the fleeting appeal of a quick replacement.
